Service & Missions
Canyon Lake United Methodist Church invites people to grow together in love for God and others.
Connections — all of us giving together — allows United Methodists to do together and with other faith communities what we cannot do alone.
In Rapid City we serve
• Westside Preschool was begun here after the 1972 Flood and continues today as one of Rapid City's premier preschools.
• Love INC We are a site for Life INC classes. We participate in Clothe-a-Kid and other LoveINC services. We support Thrive Outdoor Gear/Sports Store.
• Church Response Food Pantry CLUMC was one of the founding churches of this community food pantry that began in response to needs after the 1972 Rapid City Flood. We are a major supporter because many CLUMC families buy groceries, etc. using Church Response food cards from area supermarkets.
• Cornerstone Mission We have served an evening meal once a month since Cornerstone began.
• Rapid City Habitat for Humanity
Through the Dakotas Conference and the United Methodist Church
• Storm Mountain UM Camp-the Mountain Men
• UMCOR through special offerings and UMCOR kits
• Solar Oven Partners as a partner church, sewing project through UMW.
• Tree of Life on Rosebud Reservation
• Shoebox Christmas in the Dakotas
• UM Special Sunday Offerings including One Great Hour of Sharing
